This is a thorough book that investigates every issue you can possibly imagine about Christianity, Jesus, and the Bible. It investigates the facts, and exolains them in a way that anyone can understand and appreciate. This book helps you to understand the Bible better. It is a great tool for evangelism and sharing the gospel with those of other religions, and presents the facts. It will help any non-believer see the truth. I think it is a must read for all Christians, and for anyone who wants to share the truth of the Wors of God with others. It is also great for expanding your own understanding of events in the Bible and how to apply them to your life today. My favorite book, next to the Bible.

I have a sizeable collection of books on apologetics, but Doug Powell's wonderful book is the best compilation I've seen of all the major work in this field. The book is written in a style that is easily readable and usable for lay people and has beautiful graphics that add greatly to the content. The progression of his argumentation is excellent: he begins with traditional arguments for what we can observe about the Creator from the creation and then describes the "glass slipper"(made up of these observations) that must fit any religion that would claim to offer a true interpretation of our existence and the universe. He then proceeds to make very sound arguments for why the Christian position is the only worldview that can account for the reality of the universe and of man.

I would recommend this book very highly to anyone interested in Christian apologetics.

This book is one of the few that I take the time to recommend. Is a very complete travel in thought process to discover why should exist a GOD and what is the differences between different beliefs.

My initial feeling about this book is that it was very well done. I'm now using it as the basis for an introductory apologetics course for my parishioners, and my initial feeling has only grown stronger.

Apologetics - particularly the philosophical aspects - can be very daunting. This book does a good job at boiling down the core material very quickly. The visuals keep it interesting - though they can be a bit distracting as well. I have created a PowerPoint to go along with it with my commentary and explanation which helps folks who struggle with the raw content of the book itself.

I like that the book covers a broad spectrum of apologetics issues. It approaches things systematically (though you may not personally agree with the precise organization). The material on the reliability of Scriptures is particularly encouraging and eye-opening to folks, and I strongly encourage pairing it with visual information from experts such as Dr. Gary Habermas.

A great resource for individuals as well as for teaching!

This is a very good book. The only fault I have with it is its size; I wish it were wider so that it would lay flatter. I bought it for my Apologetics class and was amazed at how much information is in it and how easy it is to read. It is also full of pictures and the pages seem stronger than most books. If you want to equip yourself with ammo for the defense of the gospel, the authenticity of the Bible, or just brush up on your debating skills, this book will give you what you need.

Wow is all i can say. This book is tall but narrow. It has a thick cover and pages as thick as a magazine cover. This is a great book for anyone looking to learn evidential apologetics, also called classical apologetics. It goes through various philosophic arguments for the existence of God and the resurrection among various other topics. A must have for ALL teens and college students, and is great for ANY Christian adult.

Very helpful overview of apologetics. An understandable read for any age Christian. The manner in which the chapters were laid out allowed for a clearer understanding of the material. It was also wise that he saved the method comparison for the final chapter so as not to read apologetic bias into the earlier material.

As I read through each page of this book I got more excited to know what's more in it. I brought it everywhere I went so I could read it as often as possible. The presentation of the materials discussed in the book is very user-friendly thus allowing a lay person like me to understand serious topics in a fun and easier way. Sadly, I lost the book somewhere, but I don't mind buying it again to be kept as my favorite book collection. I would encourage Christians to read the book because it is an interesting and insightful book about Christianity.

A great book! Has some excellent reasoning points on the existence of God, and how must exist. Overall excellent. I have a disagreement on one point. But this is a fine tool for defending the Christian faith, and helping others see how Bible-based Christianity is God's way. And is the best explanation for life!

Appears to be good value for money - I have not looked at the book in detail as it is a purchase for a college library in Africa. Will probably buy another one for myself.
